"Me and Pete are going to have an eating contest. He reckons he can eat more then me, not a chance haha"

Famous words Quoted by our own ZS about Diablo_Pete. Now when it comes to food I am a big eater and I am not to be out down so them words above sound like fighting talk to me!

So I propose an eating contest! I am thinking an all you can eat buffet somewhere A Friday night or weekend evening? Last man standing takes the title!

Whose interested?

See now there's where you may come across a problem... Pizza Hut or similar is easier to show exact amounts, but perhaps a Chinese or something?

I think we need somewhere in the middle. Thinking Salisbury way? Then the Hampshire lot should be able to get involved? and its about an hour away from most people so not too far?

The rules;

It will be down to the plate count.

The food has to fill at least 4/5 of the plate. We will have a consensus on portion size. Before you eat you have to get checked by at least three members to say whether it is to size.

I will be in charge of plate count with some one to second it.

Cleaning the plate;

A clean plate = at least 80% of the plate visible.

Scraps which can be left will denote bits of batter which have dropped off, shells, sauce, Non-edible meat, grains of rice or noodle thats are too small in size to pick up.

Pizza will be down to slice count but I am thinking a chinese will be better. More variety! Is there such a thing as an all you can eat Indian? Then we could have a spice contest too!

Salisbury or perhaps a tad further north sounds good.

Gray-ham isn't normal tho, he doesn't like the usual sorts of food the rest of us like. he doesn't eat chinese, indian, pizza, pasta and loads of other stuff.....but as you can tell i more than make up for him

Didn't think it would take long for the contest to become official. As you are in the contest Damian, can i pop along and take some photo's to capture this. I can see some cracking pics waiting to be snapped. Not sure i'd be any good in the contest, but this cannot be missed.

I'll come along and spectate. I shall dial 9 on my phone, then 9 again and then hover my finger over 9 for the third time in readiness...
