The alloy wheels on my P-reg MR2 are so bad now that I have to keep pumping the tyres up every dayirked.

I looked into alloy wheel refurbishment in the Swindon/Chippenham area but have come to the conclusion, it's better to buy a new set of alloys.

So where is the best place to get 5-stud 15" alloy wheels from in the Swindon area.

Not near Swindon but well worth a look is http://wheelsworldwide.co.uk/ in Clevedon ( got my blingers for the Griff from there )Obviously you'll want to increase the size of the wheels as well so they fill those arches better and whilst you're there you could invest in some 19's for the Tamora. I'm sure they would do you a decent deal if you bought a couple of sets

Ian,
Have you considered Lepsons? They seem to get good reviews to recon wheels - one of the PCGB chaps had his done at the Kent branch - about 250 I think and they are better than new.
Lepsons are next to the Renault garage in Swindon by the outlet village.
Just a thought.

Hi David,

I have considered Lepsons, but two of the alloy wheels are to far gone to be worth reconditioning. Lepsons look a good outfit, so I will certainly get the remaining alloys that are worth reconditioning done there at a later date and dump the two bad ones. Will sell them on and maybe get a little bit of money back on them.

Hi Matt,

When are you back in the TVR ownership fold again. I did'nt know you could get 19" spiders, they would certainly look nice in the Tamorascratchchin.

Anyway have taken your advice and have ordered a set of new alloy wheels for the MR2 from your recommendationthumbup

These people aren't local, but internet based. I used them very recently to buy a set of 19"s for my XJR. They gave a great service, good price, and the wheels fitted perfectly. I'd recommend them.
Here's the link to their ebay shop: DP Motorsport
Do contact them and ask for all options for your car though - the wheels I bought were not listed on ebay.
Here's my Jag with it's new boots:

I've seen theee guys on the web and forums before : www.pxwheels.com
It looks like they do what they say on the tin, their prices seem OK and the principle sounds good
