Well,

took the M3 in for her first service with Stuart at Forza West (based in Chepstow, just a mile off the bridge) this morning (shame the old bridge was closed - mad )

I'd heard good reports about him, and was not dissapointed

This guy really knows his stuff (qualified BMW master Tech) and I almost felt embarassed to be bringing him something as lowly as an oil service on an M3

He had 2 Tuscans and a Cerbera in cloud9, both Tuscans having rebuilds whilst the Cerb was "only" in for a major service

Looking at the photos on the wall, this is a guy well used to Exotica and he told me the website will soon be updated for Ferrari and Lambo servicing

When I (finally) get my Ferrari, I'd have no hesitation in placing it in what seemed like a very capable pair of hands

Even updated my Sat Nav to the latest version and to cap it all just £115 for the oil service

Guess where I'm going for my Inspection in 15k...............

(also informed me my front pads+discs had 15k left in them, whereas the RAC inspection when I bought the thing told me to get them replaced "very soon")

Cheers Stuart!

Good to know and not far from me in Horfield. About the same time as getting to my usual garage in Ashton.

I'll be using Forza for the servicing on the T350. Stuart knows his stuff and is far closer and cheaper than the garage I used to use near Exeter. Had two Tuscans in for rebuilds when I popped up and was happy to chat away about the latest engine developments.

Big thumbs up from me!

Yes,

being ignorant of the TVR scene (bar the fantastic looking and sounding cars of course!), I didnt realise there was such a large seam of after market engines available - some sounded amazing

Stuart also told me he tends to upgrade the electrics as he goes (no surprise there then!)

Another thumbs up for Stuart my Tusc is with him at the moment ( having a FFF fitted clap ) he is more than helpful and as has been said, knows his way round the fun cars of the world.

Stuart is excellent; gives you much more attention than anywhere I've ever been and absolutely knows his stuff.

I'd recommend wholeheartedly thumbup

Which one is yours? I had a good look around both that were in(didn't touch them though!) and they were lovely examples.

I think what impressed me most was that he was very up-to-date with the latest engine developments by Power and Racing Green. My old garage didn't have a clue what other garages were doing to develop the Speed6 and were willing to sit fat, dumb and happy taking the best part of £800 (on average)from us every year. I tried chatting to the mechanics about it to see if they were interested but they couldn't have been less interested if they'd tried.

I assume Stuart's fitting the FFF head at his own garage instead of sending the car to RG? If so, that speaks volumes to me; that RG are willing to let him fit their head.

Yep,

he fits it himself

Bizzare seeing a Tuscan with a hole where the engine was!

I saw that one. It's nice that he lets you have a poke around and chats to you about it - many garages couldn't be arsed.

He doesn't seem to do Z4s, but looking at the pricing for a 330ci, I presume it'd be similar (£95). Absolute bargain. If he's as good as you say he is, I'll be going down there for my next service! (In warranty at the moment, so getting it done at BMW this time round)

Pulse,

dont go purely by the website, he does all sorts of prestige/exotica

Wouldnt of thought he'd have any probs with a Z4 (especially as an Ex BMW Master Tech)

You can have your servicing done anywhere without it affecting your warranty as long as its done as per the manufacturers specifications

Mine is the reflex purple cool having the complete rebuild (only using my block and crank) Stuart has sent the engine to RG. Just itching to get back on the road - all this dry weather and I am stuck driving a tin top frown

yes

The sole reason why I went (cos he's ex-BMWMasterTech); he seemed to know exactly what he was doing and therefore I trusted him.

I've not been wrong in doing so thumbup
