Hi

My XR2 is currently let down quite badly by its wheels. The standard pepperpots are in a bad way with the paint/lacquer all peeling off and so they need a good going over and refurbing.

Can anyone recommend a place, ideally in the Exeter/Torquay area, although anywhere in Devon would do, that would do this for me. I would be able to bring the wheels in seperately, in the second car, and could leave them for a few days if required.

As per most people, I am looking for the best compromise between cost and quality.

Can anyone recommend anywhere? I have heard that some engineering places would do this sort of thing, even if wheels isn't "their thing". Any help is much appreciated!

IIRC there was a PHer offering this service in the SW at a discounted price- i'll see if I can dig it out.

ETA- Sorry, can't find it, but found these.

This guy comes highly recommended by 'Tony Cocks' on the 911uk forum and 'runner911' on this forum. I spoke to him about recoating some Boxster wheels and he certainly seemed to know what he was talking about.

He quoted me £40 per wheel and explained that he lacquers all over not just the front as is typical.

Hi guys

Just to let you know, at the moment I am going to have to put this on hold. Am only doing some research in advance to find out rough costs, and places to go to.

Will keep you all posted as and when I get them done.

Cheers
