Bristol Boarding Kennels
Discussion
Can someone please recommend a good boarding kennel in the Bristol-South Gloucestershire area for a GS Dog. I rescued her from Battersea Dogs and Cats home 2 years ago, first time since we have been apart, so do not want her (my dog) to think she is being dumped again.
Staying in London for a week at a flat near Tower Bridge, and if I could find kennels or a keeper near there, then I might be tempted to take her with me.

When collecting our dog, Amber, from Battersea Dogs home, the behaviour advice given to us at the time, was that Amber would not be better in a rural location, but better housed without another dog.
Her weekly treat is a wander along/over Clifton Downs, and whilst off the lead she shows no excitement/aggression towards other dogs, the same can not be said on a lead or in the car. Whilst she has never given me any reason to suspect her attacking another dog, she does get very excitable when her freedom is being contained. In fact, when the wife chooses to give me a cuddle, not often, Amber will push between us, no aggression shown, just her way of showing she is bit jealous.
Apart from the above, she has never dirtied herself in the home, never broke or damaged any item of furniture, in fact if I left her either at home or in the flat in London, it would be spotless upon my return.
Although I am certain that once you met Amber you would want to keep her, in view of Battersea’s behaviour advice, it might be best if I decline your very, very gracious offer.

Can't think of the name but we've used kennels 1m North of Rockhamtpton (road to Berkeley) in the past and been very pleased with the set up/service.
Thanks for that, not too far away from me, so will give them a call in the morning. I also got a recommendation for this GSD kennels near Pensford. http://www.overhill.co.uk/gsd/index.htm
