Just incase anyone is going past, there is a scamera van parked up on Thamesdown road near the start of the duel carriage way on the side heading up to the A419.

The van got there around 12pm not sure how long he stayed for though.
He was parked behind a tree just after the lake, about half mile up from the Purton road
junction.(heading towards wall mart)

I believe there are there because of two serious accidents that have happened there of late.

someone should "breakdown" in front of them with their hazards on...they will go away after 10minutes....

Wasnt there talk of raising the speed limit to 50 on that stretch of road??? like the GWW dual carriageway

I can't see them raising the speed limit on that road because of all the houses around
but you never know....

Isn't the 50mph limit on GWW experimental?

Yup but the 40 limit was brought in at the request of the Partnership. Now Swindon council aren't in it anymore they are 'experimenting' with raising the speed limit again in places.

ooh lucky...

i come off the 419 northbound, usually stop at both sets of lights, and head up past the dog track.

on the bike a short blast after the traffic lights hits 60+ quite quickly, then coast up the road to the next set of lights... it doesn't seem dangerous....

I've not seen scamera vans on Thamesdown drive before, although i have heard they like to catch people out. No doubt the bikers (i think?) they hurt/killed themselves a few weeks back didn't help!

I'm less than a minute from there and those barstewards are often parked up there.

If you come barreling past a grey Golf or blue Focus estate doing just under the speed limit on that road - it's possibly me smile
