It's Emmet season again!

It's started. Hit the M5 southbound home from Bristol at J21 this evening, seen two caravans before I even got down the on-ramp.

Bunch of MLMs with cars packed to the roof so they can't see out the back (not that they'd look in their mirrors anyway!), sitting at 65mph or slower.

Another caravan tugger drafting a 40-tonner pulls out to overtake, looses the slipstream and drops to 45mph.

Then there's the guys that went past in lane three at 85mph plus; one towing a dingy and the other towing a small trailer that was bouncing all over the place!

Yup, spring's here again. Dontcha just love Friday afternoons on the M-way!

the only thing I miss about living in Weston is the Friday commute home from Filton. Bank/school holidays we would get to leave at 2 just to get home

A few years ago we were heading home after a race on a packed M5. Pulling up the hill after Gordano services a Merc driver flashed at me to get out of the way. No one was going anywhere very fast but I pulled into lane 2, with some difficulty due to traffic, let him past and pulled back into lane 3 behind him.
He'd gained a whole car length.
Just for fun I gave him a couple of headlight flashs- what a reaction- I thought he was going to have a heart attack

I do that quite regularly, its great fun.

I spend most of my days on the M5 and have many stories to tell

The small white van man is the worst, astra vans.
Followed one in the outside lane from Exeter to plymouth, wouldnt pull over even tho the lanes were clear so i undertook him, at which point he was furious and tried to keep up way above the speed he was wanting to travel...... idiots

i come accross one every day.

I dont flash tho, it just annoys people
