Folks,

I need to get the new purchase polished! Unfortunately my hand-based efforts are failing somewhat against the effects of a winter outside.

I don't want a full valet, just the exterior of the car polished properly with a mechanical contraption. Last time I had some paint done on an Audi A4 down at Smart autocentre in Fishponds and it came up a treat...

Any ideas? Preferably someone who might do it tomorrow too since I'm off for weekend biggrin

Save yourself some money and have something to do at the weekend. Do it yourself, again, properly this time. I'm sure you will get a better result if you put in the time and effort by hand and it's so much more satisfying.

It is more satisfying, and I was extremely keen to do it myself, but it genuinely does need a machine polish... Paintwork is in a bit of a state in places where water has been sitting on it.

Need a decent "Base" to be going on with biggrin

Would the TheDetailDoctor be able to help? He posts in the detailing forum and is around the Bristol area.

Thanks, I will certainly consider him going by the results on the Prelude thread there. Was wanting something a little more basic for the time being though... Car is parked on the road and don't want to attract wandering keys!

Thanks for that, I've been looking at the various prices on your website, and think that I'd want to do a detail... However I am skint, so will have to settle for a bottle of SRP instead smile
