Info/help needed in Torquay
Discussion
Hello from an intruder from the Northants section
My grandad who lived in Torquay recently passed away and I need to clear his house in the next few months. He has a Talbot Samba in his garage, that although was pristine condition (1982 and not done more than 20000 miles if I remember correctly), has not been touched for around 7 years, so I imagine will only be fit for scrap.
Can anyone recommend or point me in the direction of any scrap yards in the Torquay area that would come and collect the car and dispose of it? Have checked Yell.com etc and only a couple of entries appear, so will ring them during the week, but if anyone knows of any firms they have used etc, it would be much appreciated.
Of course if there are any secret Talbot Samba fanciers reading, and they want a project car, or even one for spares, then as long as you have means to collect it (its certainly got 4 flat tyres and given the time since last started, probably isnt a runner) then I am sure an agreement could be reached. Being a couple of hundred miles away, its difficult to sort things out for a proper sale, so would rather a fellow PHer take it for free and do something with it, rather than I having to pay for a scrap yard to "recycle" it.
Thanks in advance.
