Can anyone recommend anywhere to service/maintain a Maserati 3200GT in or around Bristol please?

Try Hamilton cars. Dominic shifts a fair few of them and I know of two Maseratis that are looked after there.

He has also looked after my TVRs in the past and BMWs with no hassle.

www.hamiltoncarsofbristol.co.uk ( or something)

seems like you found something?

Think thats where Woody from TVRCC Hants got his Maserati.Think he's still on PH as Wildwood now.Dunno what they're like at servicing though.Might be an idea to speak to Woody though. Think his Maser was as crippling to run as his Tuscan S.
Good luck if you have got one!!!

ETA If you want to speak to Woodydetails are here http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/783795.htm

I know that Duncan at Alfanet in Fishponds has one or two of those as regular customers.

I can vouch for the quality of his work from an Alfa point of view.

Bit of a trek for you maybe, but I've used Carrs (Exeter - but they do collect/deliver in a covered lorry), or Bob Houghton in Northleech.

Would recommend Houghtons, nice people. Be aware although they're not main dealer, they charge getting on for main dealer prices! Get what you pay for though.
Quoted minus the naughty bit just in case the original gets binned.

Seconded. Duncan looks after my Alfa for me; genuine bloke, very knowledgable and doesn't charge the earth.

If he serviced TVRs, I wouldn't hesitate in letting him service ours.

Wasn't having a pop dude. You posted useful info.
It would've been a shame to lose it though because you finished of with a name & shame.

Is it an auto or manual? My better half just had the engine and gearbox out one because it threw the timing belt (when I was driving it...but turned out it wasn't my fault, the thrusts wear out on the crank and the whole lot goes on the move!). It was a lot of work to get to things, ie removing other parts off the car first (didn't see her for days!) Definately go to someone that knows these cars well, and make sure they use the correct Selenia 10W-60 Italian racing oil, as the seals in the engine are designed specially with this particular oil's specs! Good luck! Nadine put Castrol SMX oil in the gearbox though (not Dextron) and it really shifts better especially when cold with that. The Swindon Maser dealer were very helpful with all the parts, and will post to your door for just a few quid, some bits aren't that expensive, I think the head gaskets were only £40, thats probably cheaper than most run-around cars!
