Road/Traffic conditions?
Discussion
None of the roads around Warminster (mainly A350) had been gritted! It took me 45mins to get to Shaftesbury this morning from Warminster, both routes to Blanford were closed, then took me 90mins to get home again, almost didn't make it as most of the hills are chocked with stuck lorries etc.
M5 was passable at Avonmouth aside from the outside lane which no-one was using, traffic moving at 30mph (apart from the numpty who stopped at the top of the bridge in front of me for no apparent reason).
All other roads snowy / slushy but passable with care, some had big queues (Portway) and Bridge valley road was shut this morning. Took me 75 minutes to get in. Obviously that doesn't help you with the first part of your journey.
I was going to stay at home but the bin men came past my house in their lorry at 7.15am and I would have been too embarassed if I claimed the roads were too bad when they could manage it OK .
