Is this active, and has it only just been put there?!

It's on Shapters Road

There are no Gatso road markings either.

Is this the one just before Cattedown round about- on the way into town?

Yea, it's on Shapters road

It's new isn't it?

I can honestly say that stretch of road (Exeter street & it's surrounding infernal roads) are the most miserable, most stressful stretches of tarmac I have ever driven.

Yep, I think it's been there for about a week or so.
It nearly caught me outhehe

But what a stupid place to put it- placed right on top of where all the cars are merging & doing the last minute lane changing.

Nothing but a (or, even more so than a) blatant revenue generator- it would have been better placed before the bend IMO.

Do you know if it is active?

I very (99%) confident I was within the limit, I remember slowing down for the 30 Sign, but I am interested to know why exactly it's there confused

I'm normally below 30 by that point anyway, already slowing for that roundabout. It is a pretty sneaky placement as I somehow doubt any accidents there were down to speed..........

Pretty sure I set this off today, traffic was a nightmare coming from site on Cattedown so I accelerated sharply.

It's across 3 lanes and I doubled back and don't remember any markings - does it not work without markings?

I'm not sure.. maybe it is worth posting in Speed Plod & Law to find out.
