Meet in Queen Square, bristol
Discussion
Right then folks,
There is a little cafe just off of Queen Square in Bristol called the Avenue which is a great place to meet up and do things that us car types do.
A couple of friends and I have decided to start up a club called the Avenue Drivers Club. Its free to join and eventually we'll organise some events like country pub lunch runs etc.
If you like the sound of it then send your email address to avenuedriversclub@gmail.com and I'll keep you all posted with whats on etc. I promise you won't get any emails about single women in your area etc : )
You don't have to have something expensive and exotic to come along, anything interesting is welcome.
The first meet will be on Sunday the 8th of Feb and then on the 2nd Sunday of each month for the rest of time.
For you trendy types I have started a Facebook group here:

Apply to join and I'll confirm it. (Just a formality to keep the rice paper sandal brigade at bay).
I hope to see you there.
Many Thanks,
Oli

I've e-mailed you, as I may be interested, what sort of stuff are you looking at doing ?
Anything that interests people really, all suggestions are greatly recieved. I'm thinking along the lines of the occasional day run to a pub for lunch, perhaps a trip to the coast for fish and chips or maybe just to expand our group of contacts and go out for a blast.
I'm sure that alot of meets will consist of a nice coffee and a slice of cake mixed in with some cooing over cars and jolly chit chat.
It doesn't matter what you drive, what you do or how old or young you are, if you're into your cars or even motorcycles (we do discourage leather jumpsuits though) then thats enough.
Nice to see so much interest. I need people who want to be kept informed to email me at: avenuedriversclub@gmail.com I can then put you in the mail group and I can automatically update everyone at once.
Good point about bringing the wife along. This is a female friendly environment so if anybody wants to bring partners then the more the merrier.

The first meeting suffered understandably because of the snow but the second meeting was great. We had a fantastic turnout including a 911GT3, TVR 3000M, FIA 289 Cobra, 911SC, Alfa Romeo Spider, VX220 and a Escort MK1 Estate!
Have a look at these photo's and hopefully it will get you along to the next on (We're planning a pub lunch run but there will be more info to follow)
