That's Avonmouth to Clevedon to those not familiar with the junction numbers.

I was stuck in it for an hour and a half as I needed to go to Bridgewater tonight. It was an arse and a half.

Apparantly a lorry carrying cars on its trailer fell over and spilt the cars, so not your normal accident.

Hopefully it was a bunch of Honda Prius's that got trashed.

However, it did mean I had an empty motorway from Clevedon to Bridgewater wink

Twas indeed, two hours to get home to Taunton (via A370, my normal run) instead of 1hr 15mins. Two sets of roadworks on the A370 didn't help though.

What is it with lorries falling over on that 18-20 stretch, been two this week hasn't it?

PS: Neil, it's Bridgwater, just the one e - they're too poor for any more! biggrin

Stroke of luck for me

Commute to Reading but decided this week to start staying over Wednesdays (lets hear it for £19 travel lodge!)

Friend phoned the Mrs at 7.30 last night - left Aztec West at 4'ish, as at 7.30 she's made it to Backwell on the A370

I got well stuck... 5 HOURS

It took me 5 hours to do a 1.5 hour journey.

It was a transporter with 07 plate Mitsubishi 4x4's on it. Rumour has it they got more on the insurance settlement than the cars are worth in the current anti-4x4 environment. I know a guy who works at the dealership they were on the way to
