3 cameras - M4 nr J18 east-bound

Spotted 3 of what looked like little cameras on tripods above each lane of the M4 this morning. This was on the first bridge after you join the M4 at J18 east-bound. They don't appear to conform to any speed camera type i recognise so does anyone know what they are (if they were even cameras!)??? On my return there were 3 traffic Police cars sat about 2 miles (max) down the road in a lay-by, which did make me wonder further.

I've seen these before...3 cameras on tripods, a police van parked just out of sight on the bridge and a car just down the road. ANPR?

Were still there in the evening with a couple of unmarkeds lurking a couple of miles further up. Had to get out of the way sharpish for one of them as he'd obviously got a hit.

The panic brakers were out in force at the bridge itself though

They are still there. Trouble is you get these prs who are doing 90mph+ in the fast lane, then they see the cameras, yank the brakes on, and then turn the fast lane into a slow lane, whilst you carry on doing 60mph in the proper slow lane and pass them.

... sorry but what complete WAKERS they are
