My old man uses Specialist Vehicles, Forecourt at the Rigdgeway in Plympton & Service on Newnham Ind. Est just past Victor Barry Tyres

Or, the chap that used to do my e30 was opposite the Weatherspoons pub on Milehouse.
I forget the name now- he usually has a red 996 cabriolet parked outside on the pavement, you can't really miss ithehe

ETA- just thought of another, name evades me again- he's in a small unit behind the truck stop at Lee Mill, have used him a couple of times too.

Cheers

I've used Specialist before but at £55+vat an hour they are now only £20 an hour less than just taking it to Ocean which makes it less worth using them..

Interesting. Where abouts is he based? Does he know his stuff? I'm after somewhere I don't need to explain common E39 issues to - especially when one 'indy' diagnosed my car with head gasket failiure last year because it had some condensation where I only use it for short trips!

Popped down this morning. Nice chap, appears to know his stuff. Apparently one of the chaps who worked for him owned the dealership my car was supplied new from before it was bought out by Dick Lovett.

So he's got the job tongue out

Yep, I've used Rich Lakey before and found him excellent. He's moved from his old place from the earlier posts and has a website here. I didn't use him for BMW though but for his electronic diagnostic services on a Vauxhall's ABS, he even rung around for me to reduce parts prices when he thought they were rather high from his usual supplier!!
