Swindon: Where to rent?

Gents,

Friend of mine is re-locating to the Swindon area and is looking to rent a 2 bedroom apartment ideally.

Criteria:
Modern
Safe and secure part of town
Not 'in da hood'
Good parking

Where would you suggest?

Generally avoid anywhere that starts with P. They are almost all less than desirable.
Old Town, Lawn, new Abbey meads/oakhurst is all fairly new, bits of West Swindon and lots of villages around are nice.
This was covered a little while back so the search option should find it.
It also depends where they need to get to each morning. Not much point being in Wootton Bassett and needing to get to Honda daily.

Abbey Meads is the new estate in Swindon. Its a nice place with good road links out to the A419 and the M4 and M5.

Lots of different types of houses there including flats with garages.

Prices are low(er) than reading and Bristol too.
