kart testing on airfields?!

Hi,

Firstly, just want to say if it wasn't for this forum I would not even know these places existed! So thanks very much already! Ihave read the forum post about weston zoyland, but I haven't had much luck in finding out much about it.

I am struggling to find an open bit of (smoothish) tarmac to test my kart. Its just had an engine rebuild and need to run it in. I have heard of weston zoyland, and haynes motor museum, but can't seem to find any contact details for them, I don't even know if you book or just turn up etc. and how much it costs?

I live in wiltshire (Frome) and was wondering whether anyone knew of anywhere I could test or maybe had more info on those two I mentioned before, please?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks. I'm guessing that's the normal price then for these kind of things. Did not realise it was more expensive than a kart track.

Did a TVRCC/MSE airfield day at Keevil earlier this year - great fun. Three disciplines then open track in the afternoon. Shagged tyres though.

Yep, that's them. It was a TVRCC event using MSE. About twenty cars I think, split into three groups for the exercises then open track PM.

used weston zoyland, was utterly, utterly fantasic.
soo much better than indoor karting.
