Having finally moved down, I've invited the folks to come and stay.

I now need to find a decent food house which will accomondate the following;

decent vegaterian menu for the OH and junk food for kids to eat.

I know PH'ers Dave and Steve live in the area and so input from them would be appreciated, but also any further input from anyone else regarding places to go.

Regards

Graham

Hi Graham,

See you finally took the plunge and moved down then smile

I would suggest any of the following, all of which I have eaten in and would recommend:

The Bardge @ Seend or
The Mill @ Rode

Also recommend the following but not quite so geared up for kids:

The Angel @ Upton Scudamore or
The Cedar Hotel & Restaurant in Westbury or
The Garden House Hotel in Westbury

Regards

Dave

Thanks Dave

I finally got the house I mentioned to you about. Took along time but got there in the end.

It's been nearly 5 weeks and were still unpacking!!!!

If you want good honest pub food with none of this fancy dribble on the plate , id say The Hollies in Westbury leigh.
Massive meals at down to earth prices and a bar to suit.
Has a large carpark just across the road , and is a friendly place to be ...

You beat me to it Neil! 2nd vote here for the Hollies in Westbury Leigh, good prices and huge portions! also very kid friendly, the Angel in Upton Scud is more upmarket.
You could also try the Bell at Rode, child friendly, good prices, excellent carvery everyday and cater for veggies!
