Recommended bodyshop in/around Swindon
Discussion
Hi Mate, Dick lovett Spraymaster did a good job on my old porsche.
As for getting a match it will come already mixed but you will never get an exact match due to it being
a refinish not oem. That said this is where the good bodyshops earn their money by how well they prep
and blend the job in.

Phillips car body repairs at Yatton Keynell near Castle Coombe
I have been in the industry for 25 years and have seen some ste jobs in my time but Richard always turns out a top job.
I would never let anyone else near my car (esp not SprayDisaster)
The only down side is that Richard does take his time.

take the A420 out of Chippenham and turn right as if heading to Castle Coombe.
As you come into Yatton keynel there is a cross roads with a small shop/post office on the left. (the road from the left comes in at an acute angle and the right turn is more of a fork)
Turn right there sign posted towards Grittleton IIRC.
Phillips Car Bodyworks are about half mile on the right.

My only concern is that the other panels also have to be sprayed, which is gutting. I guess all I can do is speak to someone about it.
normally a bodyshop would fade/blend the bonnet out over the tops of the ajoining panels to loose the change in colour of old Vs new paint so you shouldn't notice.odyssey2200 said:

Mate,
Blending will have to be done no question, you might get away with them not spraying the bumper because of
angles( if the panels are on the same alignment it will need blending where as if on an angle you can get away with
it) Has anyone told you a reason why it's doing this? I would guess soft paint but with out looking at it it is very hard, there are non destructive tests that can be done to check.
If you want I could meet up with you and have a look, chat about it. Having 12 years as a oem paint chemist you learn a thing or two, that's when I remember them.

Need to get it quoted up quite quickly, that's the only issue. What you up to later on today? I could pop round yours perhaps to show you!Blending will have to be done no question, you might get away with them not spraying the bumper because of
