Big accident apparently. MrsV6 & kids have been stationary for the last hour+ just past J15 M4 interchange with no sign of movement yet.

I once sat on that piece of motorway for over five hours for something similar.
Clearly much worse for those involved in the accident but pretty bad for those caught up in it.
It taught me never to travel without water in the car (and sorry if TMI for the blokes)and a Shewee to avoid trying to pee in full view of a crowded motorway!

Well, she eventually got where she was going 5½ hours after leaving.
I'd normally expect that journey to be about 1hr 20 or thereabouts.
Wasn't too much fun with 2 tired, bored, hungry kids in the back...
Still, better than for those who were actually involved in the accident; 1 dead and 1 injured adult at the scene and a child critical @ Frenchay
