I discovered this evening that all my local petrol stations in Bath were out of fuel. I stupidly left my tank low on fuel before leaving for Le Mans in a friend’s car. Anyone in or around Bath see any stations with fuel this evening? I need to fill up tonight or early tomorrow in order to get to work!

Apparently sainsburys on Pinesway are getting a delivery at 01:00 tomorrow.

Fact that its been published on the internet probably means sold out by 02:30.

Other than that I got a gallon in a can at home. Yours for £10.

Thanks for your kind offer Andy, and for posting the link. I think I'll risk it tomorrow morning, and if I run out on my way to work I'll announce to this forum how much of an idiot I was not accepting it! Let's see how it goes...

Local radio in Barnstaple/Bideford were whipping up the frenzy by announcing every 30mins which garages had and hadn't got fuel yesterday. Crazy situation considering that it was Shell drivers striking and I can't think of a Shell garage within 30miles of here.

PS - If Shell are reading this, I'll drive your lorrys for that money, call me smile

Ah, so you've been in local shop then. 'Polydigit Monthly' is kept in stock (back room), but ask for it quietly...

My mother's family lived in Coleford for a number of generations. Up the Eagle, or down the Legion.

I think I probably owe much of my enthusiasm for spannering to childhood days spent poking around the workshop at Crossways Garage; not been there for a few years now, mind.

Ow bist, youngun'? Jumpers for goalposts, 99s from the icecream man after Sunday lunch and all that.

Ow bee'on, Nick.

Alas, the Eagle is no more - boarded up and looking for new tennants (super strength?). The 'ead is still pouring a good'un though.

Cheero!
