I saw loads of people on their bikes today, in Bristol. It's not even that nice of a day today. What's going on? The rising price of fuel really making people ride bikes instead of drive?

I'd do it, but I'm lazy.

Haha fair enough. Nice looking Clio, the white really suits it. Wish my one had some more go it in.

I've noticed a definite upturn in the number of bikes around Bristol at rush hour... I expect the cycle to work scheme is quite a big influence. So long as they are not the type of prats who give the rest of us a bad name I'm all for it...

That might be Jam Busting June in effect. All kinds of prizes on offer for commuting to work in something other than a car. Several hundred companies in the SW are signed up.

Some take it quite seriously (company based leader boards and such). Last year, I was commuting 80 miles a day by train, before this thing kicked off. Alas, I supposedly saved a huge amount of Co2. It also meant I scored a huge amount of points (the max for a 5 day week, for the whole month).

Anyway - someone didn't like this, so found an excuse to have to work on the last Saturday in the month, just to nose ahead in the points...
