On FA's advice, I'm putting this up over 'ere. your input is much appreciated.

Right, I'm relocating to Kernow for a bit next month, what's it like? Good pubs/restaurants? Places to avoid? We're only there for a week, and its all childish adults, rather than families....

I'm told I will be going to the Cornish seal sanctuary is it any good?

Hey, im from just outside Wadebridge. Its a pretty nice place. Depends how childish the adults are and how many of you there are.

Theres a crackin indian resteraunt in Wadebridge, pretty new called The Raj.

Camel Trail is always fun from Wadebridge, hire a few mountain bikes and cycle into Padstow for an icecream or a beer, or both.

The Seal Sanctuory is OK. I've been a couple of times in the last 10 years. It's not an amusement park, but they do display the animals and give feed time talks. So if you are interested in wildlife it's a good outing.

For the lads I can recommend a St Austell Brewery tour, especially if it's wet.

Boscastle is one of my favorite places. Cask beer at the Napoleon pub at top of village is good.

Crackington Haven has a great circular walk that starts and ends at a pub. Also love the A39 for fast driving from Crackington Haven towards Wadebridge.

Tintagel Castle & Post office are nice, but the rest of the village is tourist trap.

Safe bet for a rainy day is Eden project. Really a world class attraction.

Wadebridge has a small cinema that is comfortable.

Obviously, if you want to spend a lot of money on food there is Rick Stein's restaurant in Padstow and there is supposed to be good food in Rock.

I hope you have fun and good weather.

Regards,
Peter.

Boro, fancy seeing you here!

Everywhere i go your there! laugh

Anyway back to topic,

There are a couple good pubs in Wadebridge. The Swan normally has some good live music on weekends and The Molesworth has an outside cocktail bar Called the Woo Woo Bar. Very ncie cocktails.

As Boro says The Camel trail can be fun, or do as we did and have a awesome indian in the Raj then walk down the camel trial at 11pm. rofl

Obviously the best place in wadebridge is my garage! biggrin

The seal sancturay isnt bad, theres also the Aquaraium in Newquay and the Maritime museum in Falmouth which are both pretty good.

Tintagel and Boscastle are both worth a visit as well.

Hope that helps.
