Castle Combe today

Currently absolutely hammering down here (20 mins from CC). Anyone know if they may cancel the racing due to the rain or do they tend to carry on regardless?

I was going to attend but though that 5 hrs plus in the rain wouldn't make for a fun day. Did it go ahead? I remember seeing a track ready MG ZR being pulled by a motor home at around 14:30 in melksham and presumed it had been canceled.

I went up to watch some of the practice sessions and the conditions were appalling. The rain was driving towards the Camp/Tower side of the circuit and it was actually painful to stand facing the direction of the wind. I have been going to Combe for 25 years and cannot remember conditions quite so wet and windy.

I went in the end. It stopped raining at about 2ish, and the track began to get a dry line towards the middle of the afternoon. Some of the Caterhams were spinning like tops around Quarry - made for great viewing!
