You could also post a wanted ad on the PH classifieds.

www.mk3oc.com - the mk3 astra owners forum - How modified ?

V6 seems a 'standard' upgrade or LET ?

Why not do it yourself? Could be cheaper because it seems a lot of modifiers seem to think their car owes them what they spent on upgrades. So a £2000 car with a £1000 bodykit is advertised at £3000.

Don't forget to mention any mods to your insurer.

There's a posh bit of L37 tbh.

Try going on Google Maps and Putting in, say Victoria Road, L37, or Shireburn Road L37. Then zoom in on the aerial photo's. #

That's the footballers end of town. I live in the cheap seats.

Thanks Mr POD great help, will defo enquire bout some of them.

Yeah V8s i would but I'm not very good at that type of thing, and don't have much time, prefer to have it already done.

Does the insurance go up by much with mods on it?

I have no experience of modifying cars and insurance, but you should make sure all mods are known by the insurer to make sure your insurance is not void should you need to claim.

I doubt wheels and body styling will make any difference; engine mods will.

Depends what the mods are and why.

You might end up with a specialist like Adrian Flux rather than direct ripoff line

Direct Line were actually extremely competitive for the Omega. Adrian Flux was good to me on the TVR when I claimed, but many on here don't seem to rate them when it comes to claiming.

Any particular reason you want an Astra?

Why is over 1.8 too powerful? Driving ability or insurance costs?

If ability, why not look into doing some kind of driver training to make sure the Astra stays aerial side up. smile

There quite cheap to insure so long as its under a 1.8, and I haven't got any NCB and I'm only 18 so I need something cheap to insure, most of the Astras range from group 4 to group 8.

I've been driving a 1.3 so I don't want too bigger jump up to a more powerful engine think I'm still in my 1.3 and end up in a tree, another car etc lol.

Oh and I like the look of them smile

Fair enough.

306 DTurbo's are cheap to insure (Gp 5) and go like the clappers, if you want an alternative. smile

Don't forget to get along to some PH meets when you've got your car.
