Ive had some mods done on my new smart and i'm just not sure the figures i've been given are correct (they seem WAY too high for minor mods) so I need to get it independantly rolling roaded.

Anywhere local? or within a couple of hours?

My BMW is with Paul at Circuit motors at the moment. Thoroughly recommended. They are very busy though, which is the only fault i can pick with the few weeks worth of work he's been doing for me.

Unless you tested on the same RR before and after your mods whatever figures you get won't mean a great deal. It's difficult enough to replicate conditions from one run to the next let alone on different RR and operators.
Good for willy-waving though. thumbup

Well the factory quote a BHP of 84 (im told all new car BHP is quoted at the flywheel) but this rolling road has given my car a bhp of 127 at the flywheel, worked back from 89.5bhp at the wheels.

So the gearbox/transmission is sucking 37.5 BHP or 30% of your engine's power? I'd get it looked at if I were you. wink

A bit further away I know but I will recommend Richards Bros in Redruth. A very knowledgable bunch and have helped me no end over the last 3 seasons. They also sponsor the Cornish Speed Championship.

Second that...just had my Lotus setup there today :-) Steve is a very knowledgable chap!!

Just a word of warning that his RR is slightly on the conservative side smile

That's the BMW boys isn't it? Have you actually used them? If so how are they with carbs or is it just injection then mess with?
