Hi All,

I'm new here, my names Adam, I currently have three cars.. one of which is my long standing project a Lancia Y10 Turbo.

(I also have a VW Caddy for the daily work hack and a Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.8 20VT for weekends).

I have gone through many phases with my Y10, the original plan was to upgrade the standard (1049cc) engine with fuel injection and a larger turbo (as standard it has a carb like a Renault 5 and a tiny IHI RHB52 turbo).. however... I have had a rethink and the result I want is not something I will be able to complete myself.

I have been looking around and a while ago I saw a Fiat Chinq fitted with a cosworth engine (PPC mag - sold on Piston heads I believe) in the rear, and I have also seen the Z-Car mini / saxo rear engine conversions, I have also seen a panda with an RS Turbo engine (currently in the classifieds on PH I think - it's ugly tho - however the Y10 and panda are very simlier under the skin).

I think that's what I want for my Y10... well, not Cossi or RS turbo power... I think either Integrale (keeping the lancasti happy) or VAG 1.8 20VT (I love this engine).

My thinking is... I want more than 200bhp (170bhp is the theoretical limit for the 1049cc) ideally 300bhp+.. but most of all I want rear wheel drive.

I have already spent far, far in excess of what the car is worth (which is about £30 in parkers.. haha!) on parts alone (imported italian adjustable coilovers, integrale front disks with wilwood 4pot alloy calipers, Roll centre Cage, sparco seats etc etc etc)...

So far the cage and above parts have all been fitted, and it has also had a complete respray (met black)... the engine is (still) sat on the engine stand next to the car... I know I will have to sacrifice some of the work I have done, but hope I can atleast keep the front brakes and suspension.

Sooo... (bit long winded sorry)... I'm after someone (idealy in the South West) to carry out this conversion for me... does anyone have any idea who could do it???
