Anyone recommend somewhere to take the Griff for a full geometry set up in the Somerset area.(Within about an hours drive of BA4 5GF.......Baff/Brizzle/Taunton /Yeovil/Weston etc )Been playing with my suspension today but noticed that the inside of my n/s/f tyre is scrubbing so something is not quite as it should be which is probably why it feels a bit different going to the left than what it does to the right.
Thanks in advance smile

Think richard has only got the basic stuff though hasnt he? Was thinking more along the lines of these machines that throw lazer beams every which way and someone intelligent enough to understand it.

He's got a Supertracker and camber castor gauges.

Scorcher,

If Dulford is too far ......

I had mine done a couple of years ago when it was having other work done at Webbs (TVR Body Shop).

They didn't do it themselves, but sent it into Bristol. Perhaps if you give them a call they'll point you in the correct direction (no pun intended).

Try Protyre up here in Bristol Monkeyman.

I've used them 3 times now and have always gone away happy. Shock horror, me happy. wink

They've 2 or 3 'full' 4 wheel alignment rigs, and near enough always have something rare, exotic or race on them and the guys who do the setting up seem to know their salt.

IIRC it costs around £12.50 per corner per camber/toe, so a £100.00 if all the camber & toes are out at all 4 corners.

Slightly O/T:
Not much help, but Dulford checked my geometry last week and reported it was (slightly) out but that as the tyre wear looks fine not to worry about it.

I heard that there is a chap called Euclides who's a bit good with geometry. Not sure where to find him but the Greek Teverna at the bottom of Cornwall Street should know.

Bit further than you are thinking maybe but I can thoroughly recommend Powerstation in Tewkesbury. They set up my Roadster perfectly - you could always ring and ask about a TVR.

Protyre also has Wells tyre services as part of their group ( 4 miles down the road to me ).Popped down there this morning and they have just had a state of the art 4 wheel lazer alignment machine fitted.Their prices were a bit different to Crazycraigs suggestions though. They reckoned £23.50 for the first adjustment then £20 for each one after that.I'll give bristol a call at some point to check their prices.

Give me a call. I have both the laser type 4 wheel geom kit and the manual camber and track gauges and can set up as you require
