trying to clarify the situation with gantry cameras in saltash tunnel. are they speed cameras and are they currently in operation?

They are Specs cameras and are meant to be going live sometime this year??

can you link me to a map for where this tunnel is please as im trying to document car tunnels and their locations.

You can find it yourself on multi-map - follow the A38 down past Plymouth (heading west), cross the Tamar river and the tunnel starts approx 200m after the bridge. It's approx 500m long and goes underneath the town of Saltash. The road remains the A38.

The e-mail above refers to the large number of blue cameras inside which are allegedly there to police the 30mph speed limit. However, there are no grading lines or strobe lights or warnings about average speed cameras and the type of camera looks like the automatic numberplate recognition ones.
