Hi to you all.

If all goes to plan this weekend Tracie and myself will be travelling down to your neck of the woods for a weekend away and i was just wondering if there was any meets/runs out planned for this weekend (Sunday) in or around the North Devon area?.

We are planning to be staying somewhere around the north of Devon as we quite like it around the Woolacombe area but have not been down there since we have had the Chimaera and quite fancied a weekend away driving around Exmoor etc and was thinking of a trip to Wales for a drive around/through/over Rhondda Valley as this is where Tracies nan is from.

Also if anyone can point us in the direction of somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay (was thinking of just taking the tent and getting a pitch in a holiday camp)

TIA

Glyn.

Heck, there are campsites all over the place at the moment. Not sure you'll find anywhere very cheap at this time of year, depends on how basic you want it to be. I'd love to say I'd pop out to meet in my wedge, but it is currently very tatty, very dirty and very off OTR frownfrownfrown

Hi Iain,

IF we did decide to camp then as long as it had toilets and showers then it would be fine.

Shame about the wedge mate.frown

Friends have recommended this one to me www.northmortefarm.co.uk/touring_camping.htm  but it's worth checkin the weather forcast first. It's on top of a hill right near the coast so a bit open to the elements which is great if the sun's out, not so great if it's throwing it down.

Plenty more here http://www.staynorthdevon.co.uk/camp_sites.htm .

I'll be looking out (and listening)

NO,

Take it you have not seen my thread asking for advice/help on the Chimaera forum. mad

Why do these things always happen when you least want them to furious

Still maybe we'll have a late, late summer this year.

Oooops, just checked it. Sorry to hear that. If it's any help it's throwing it down with rain here and you'd have had a horrid time. All the campsites have taken on the Glastonbury look. frown

They haven't of course, it's actually quite a nice day but I didn't want to say that woth your current problems.
