Is it me or is the road surface here getting really bad , very quickly? Use it most days but it's becoming a rough ride especially northbound.

I too use it every day and agree. It's never been any good, even after they re-surfaced it! However, I'm sure I heard they're going to be re-doing it. Again. Wonder how many years it'll take this time rolleyes

DIABOLICAL! Inside lane is the best of the lot but officially its the sliproad for the Avonmouth Junction I think. In my smart its like a fairground ride.

What concerns me is that the work done last time was basically boxing the origonal steelwork with more plate (bit like patching up a rusted car that's failed it's MOT) so,

a) how many times will they do this before building a new bridge, as the last lot of work cost more than a new bridge anyway ?

b) if it is so solid and the surface is of an even depth over the steel, why is it so lumpy ?

there are more and more holes appearing in the tarmac too...we reported one to the police back last year. We went out at some ungodly hour in the morning to find a big hole in the road.

I use the bridge twice a day and yeah it's geting worse
