Not having been in there since it's been rebuilt, does anybody know if there's anywhere to park / loiter in a car in order to pick up an arriving passenger?

I gather not. My mum had to pick my brother up from there last weekend and mentioned something about ensuring he was waiting for her as there was no-where to stop/park.

roflHaven't the council purloined it for parking?

ETA (more helpfully) Dighton/Jamaica Street is probably the best place to wait.

mad They did that before the rebuild; the pay&display suddenly became private parking for Council vehicles. Hypocritical censoreders

If you turn right from Marlborough Street into the little street heading down past the Dorothy Hodgkin Building, there's usually spaces in the cab rank or on yellow lines free, or at least some loitering room. I wouldn't leave the car unattended for longer than a couple of mins, but you'd deffo be alright to stop for a bit.

My wife usually goes up to London on the coach, even though the coach always has at least one psycho as part of the compliment (sometimes it's the driver).

Anyway, I digress, when I pick her up (and unlike others I'm quite specific about picking her up and not just "a passenger&quotwink I usually park outside the eye hospital. It's metered but OK. Even if you overstay its unlikely anyone nearby will see you.

there really is very little parking anywhere around there. the dental hospital is just up the road from the eye hospital and we are constantly getting grief from patients asking us why we haveny got any patient parking. our response is that there isnt even enough space for parking for 10% of the staff let alone considering the hundreds of spaces that patient parking would necescitate.

It is possible to "loiter" opposite between the student accomodation blocks.

But not in a pervy way.
