I need some help,

I was given one of those track day vouchers you get from debenhams for christmas last year from the wife.

Now I asked her not to buy me one of these, but she done it anyway & is now giving me grief & asking why I have not booked it up
I'll have to travel up north some 250 odd miles to be sat in a classroom for 6 hours to then be driven 1 lap round a track...greatrolleyes

Has anyone done one of these & are they as pants as they look?
I need some input as im conscidering smearing some marmite on the paper to get the mut to eat it, & stuff the voucher case in his blasket

Which track is it at?

Can you not transfer to Castle Combe??

Sell it on Ebay...then use the money to buy her a packet of crisps....I find this always works!

I went on one at silverstone that my then girlfriend bought me. When I found it after forgetting all about the thing I had a week left to get it booked, I was pretty skeptical and they didn't even let me on the actual silver stone track, rather this thin little track with about 8 bends that you could lap pretty quickly.

Driving a Formula First car was quite an experiance though, even with the limiter on the rev's, I was 17 and the fastest thing id been in let alone driven was my 1.6 fiesta, I span the thing 3 times but was let off due to my inexperience and obvious lack of skill rather than stupid attempts to take corners to quick. Back then I didn't even know there was a RWD/FWD difference so...

I enjoyed it loads, the safety briefing was only half an hour or so, and we got about an hour and a half driving in.

choices of Oxfordshire or Yorkshire for the Hot rides & drives in a subaru & a chauffer driven ride in a dax rush.....FUN

or Fife, Lancashire, leicestershire, Northamptonshire or West Sussex to drive a mini cooper....even more FUN!

or I can drive upto Clwyd, Hertfordshire or Rutland for a drive in a Landy 90....even more fun, except ive driven landy's in most parts of the world & it does not really appeal!

I cant even get my money back on it! so I think its going to be ebay or pedigree chum

Perhaps you could auction it on here for a charity of your choice.
If it,s a Boots one , and you are persistant, wait till the back end of the year when all the good stuff is over booked and insist on your money back 'cos there's nothing left on there that you want to do. I did it last year with one and got cash back to the full value.
Whoops, just noted it's a Debenhams one, should still work though.

hmm...not sure about the charity/giving away thing as I would have to run it past the powers that be & risk sleeping on the sofa for the best part of this week!smash

Im going to have to think about how I broach the subject with her

No, It does not look like its on a circuit although I was only browsing before work...its called activity superstore & info is a little thin on the groung

I just wondered if anyone has any experience of these things & weather its worth the journey
