Bill, how did the Anglesey race weekend go? Did you like the new circuits?

wavey

The new circuits are ace, if a bit (well, a lot) wethehe

The first race was on the shorter coastal circuit with a tight downhill twisting section that is brilliant. I qualified in the pissing rain 21st on a grid of 38 (qualy race of 8) and wasn't doing too badly until I got nudged and span into the path of the bloke who nudged me. He managed to finish but I had a cracked de dion ear, bent wheel and bent side impact bar. I managed to get the car off the circuit but that was it barring an apparently hilarious sprint to the marshals' post.

Race 2 was better (ie I finishedwink). I started 30th and finished 27th (IRCC) having a good race with a bit of tussling and only a little body contactredface

Yes, the corkscrew is fun isn't it! thumbup

Hope there's not too much damage to the car!

So who supplies the spares you needed to get up and running for race 2? I presume you didn't have all that kit in the Dreadnought or on the trailer.

Is there a support team that you buy time and bits from?

yesThe club pays for mechanical support, so on the day you only pay for parts used as labour is free. It's a brilliant system.

Sounds very well planned.

It is, although they were a bit fraught when 6 cars need sorting after the racehehe
