HELP!!!!! US car parts in Bristol
Discussion
Gah!!! Modified cars are an arse!
The alternator belt on the ZT has gone, and I'm struggling to find anyone in Bristol who sells them. Ideally I need a modified Mustang specialist (!), but any yank parts place will do, I hope.
On the other hand, does anyone have a tow car they could lend me for the weekend?

They've got a Mustang for sale - perhaps you ought to "test drive" it?

Cheers Simon, I've tried both those already. The closest I've found is a belt that nearly fits in Bedford, and the place in Scotland that fitted the supercharger.
Thought you might have. How about:http://sitebuilder.yell.com/sb/show.do?id=SB000121...
I'm guessing it's not just a generic multi grooved belt you can just measure and then go to Brown Bros or similar and get off the shelf?
Have you asked on the PH Mustang forum and www.mocgb.net/forums
Have you got an alternative tow car sorted?

I look like I'm chewing a waspAm I right in thinking that the next phrase out of your mouth was along the lines of "bo11ox" or "bu66er off"?
Have you asked her maj for some tights? - any port in a storm!
hmmm - both you and Bill have had disasters - looks like I am not going to be driving anywhere for a while until the Brissle jinx has found somewhere else to sit!

Cheers. I've got a tow car sorted (I also tried to wangle a test drive in the new Landrover Defender) and a new belt is on its way from Scotland, so I'm feeling a bit less frantic than I was earlier.ewenm said:

Apparently there are loads at Longbridge (just spoken to my friend there) but that's not much use to you!
Longbridge isn't that far. Are they standard ones, as the belt powers the supercharger and is 20cm or so longer.Recommend you order 2 from Dreadnought
