Thread you've all been waiting for: Best bodyshop in Bristol
Discussion
Seeing as everyones had a nice little chuckle at my expense down the pub after I stupidly drove my car under a low arch with the bike on causing some neato damage to the roof:
I need to get the roof dents sorted, and I've been pondering on whether I may get all the other bits of rust and little dents etc sorted out.
Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop that can sort out my dents, plus sort out the other bits, but not charge the earth (already had one heartstopping quote - I'm sure that it doesn't take 3.5 hours for someone to remove the windscreen)...?

I used Cromhall Refinishing once upon a time and was quite happy with both the work and the price.
Can't recommend in Brizzle, can recommend in and around Swindon. There are 2 who I rate highly and have used, one in Swindon on Kembrey Park, the other is Motorama who we used for a ding on the aluminium bonnet - he's really a perfectionist too - yell brings his details up as;
Motorama
Unit 20, Lower Bassett Down Workshops, Bassett Down, Swindon, Wiltshire SN4 9QP

Can't recommend anywhere in Bristol, but if you don't mind a 20 mile drive down to Cheddar I can recommend Dave Pople:
http://www.accessplace.com/car-body-repair/somerse...
(bottom one of the list)
Very small private firm who have fixed both my brother's car (replaced a whole door and full side re-spray after some tosser broke in bending the door frame) and my dad's Saab 95 (big scrape and dent from a lorry who failed to stop). Very reasonable rates and excellent workmanship

That is probably a very good call as the labour rates should be lower down there - and it gives one of us an excuse for a hoon to drop you off and pick you up
We didn't snigger that much in the pub....ish. Also I cannot recommend a large body shop in South Bristol with the same name as the worlds largest building society as they are a complete bunch of cost cutting, bodging monkeys.

Get some M3 mirrors fitted while you're about it...
Huh?PS good luck with the repair - looks pricey.
The guys at sgh http://www.sghbodyworks.co.uk/ did an absolutely fantastic job on my race car! They look after the car so well, and are very very reasonably priced. Give Simon a call....Ive recommended a number of people there now, and no one has come back dissapointed, everyone has said what a great job he has done!

It's not an M3 - just only a 328 Sport, but the 316i badge is as far as my modifications (not on purpose at least) go...
Have been looking at getting other things sorted out, so will be giving the Cheddar guys a call to go with all the other quotes...

Have used www.wbcautomotive.co.uk before and good results. No idea if they're cheap tho.

The guys next to sure car in fishponds have been decent for me and very fair priced when I took my late MX5 in for some work after I bought it. You could check them out, im not to experienced but they seemed decent
I think this is Smart Autocentre on Fishponds Trading Estate. Colleague of mine had nasty bumper ding sorted out by them and was happy with price and service!Have the Audi going in this evening for general ding tidying up and possibly bonnet respray so will update..
