Parking in Bristol
Discussion
As part of a job move I'm now going to be commuting into Bristol centre (Baldwin St) every day.
As the NCP costs £12 per day at present, I need to find myself some cheap (preferably free) parking each day.
I don't know the centre of Bristol very well but I have an A to Z!! so over to the PH massive for suggestions

Park and Ride from Shirehampton and into Bristol would be your best bet, would it not?
The open air NCP at Wapping Wharf (about 5 min walk from Baldwin St) is £7 per day.
Not sure what a season ticket costs.
About 2min further walk and there's a dodgy* East European geezer who lets you park in his warehouse for £5 a day (end of Cumberland Road). Have a feeling he might do weekly deals for £20.

* Not really dodgy - plenty of folk around here have used him for parking (self included) with no issues.
{edited to add} There's a certain amount of free parking further along Cumberland Road, but you'd need to get there quite early and its probably 15-20min hike into Baldwin St.

Depends where you're going in from and how much you'd hate to add some walking to your day?
I live in Wesbury-on-Trym, drive to the Downs in the morning and park for free along the side of the road and then trot down Blackboy Hill/Whiteladies Road/Park Street then onto the Centre and down Baldwin Street. I think it's a couple of miles and it talks me 20 or 30 minutes. It's a nice walk and it's all downhill (the croissant shop at the top
Getting home I just get a bus up to the Downs (£1.60) which is pretty straight forward from the centre as there are 4 or 5 busses that go up there and the traffic going up there isn't too bad - I can be home in 35 minutes from leaving work.
I've used the Avonmouth P&R in the past and it was dreadful at peak times, it needs way more bus lanes and personally I'd rather walk than sit on the bus for 45 minutes.
You can buy season tickets for the Queen Charlotte Street NCP (which is I imagine the one you've looked at) - they used to be £20 a week which was incredibly cheap but I think it's more expensive now. There is a poster with a phone number on it to ring for season tickets.
The carpark opposite the Ramada is Portwall Carpark - I used to use it some years ago and unless you were in it by before 8am it would be full.
