Decent scratch/chip repair in Bristol

Hi there,

I need to have some stone chips tidied up on the front of my Audi.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of a decent franchisee of ChipsAway or similar in the Bristol area, or indeed anyone else who can fill in a few stone chips? I have been quoted a fairly decent price for a bonnet respray but don't think that is entirely necessary.

Personal experience would be gratefully received!

Thanks so much. Clearly everyone here drives entirely pristine cars and have never had stone chips rectified.

Don't take it personally! I haven't had to go near one of these people for about 4 years and the experience I had then was rubbish but I am sure it has all changed now...

Hi,

I live in Bristol (Longwell Green) and own a Golf Mk3 Gti 16v in Tornado Red
(Hard to match up!)
i needed some work done a couple of years ago, replaced tailgate (with newer one from later golf mk 3 which doesn't rust) and several keyed marks and stone chips etc.

I used a comapany called "Chips Away" at 103 Crews Hole Rd, St George Bristol BS5 8AY
The guy i delt with was the owner, called Gary tel [phone], i knew they were good because they do lots of repairs on brand new cars, and were doing a new Merc, BMW amd a guys Aston Martin!. There are several chips away franchises, but this is a proper body shop, and you can see the work etc first hand.
I'm going back later in the year to have a couple of spots done on other parts on my car
