Good place to stay

Hi folks, sorry for the non petrol related thread.

I'm looking to spend a week or two down your way at the end of the summer.

Looking for recommendations of towns/villages to stay without the usual tourist site spin...

Need somewhere near the sea with some nice walking countryside, pref with nice beaches, lots of nice pubs, obviously:-), rather than bars, and a good mix of restaurants. Happy with Rick Stein prices once or twice, but being a PHer, any pub selling PIE is great.

I'm bringing the porker, so prolly not Dartmouth style streets not an option :-)

Hope you can help folks - otherwise just tell me to *** off and stop filling your roads up in the summer ;-)
