Wiscombe Hillclimb on Sunday
Discussion
Hi all,
Is anyone heading down to Honiton for this on Sunday? I'm hopefully meeting up with DarkMatter in his Griffith (who is coming from Ringwood area) for a bit of a convoy down. Unsure which route we'll be taking, but probably the A30.
If anyone wants to join up with us at any point, you're more than welcome. I'm starting from the Yeovil area.

Won't be at this one Graham, but I am going along to the VSCC one on May 13th. Fancied a bit of vintage, especially with the news that there are going to be 12 ERA's there.
Ok, Pete - might see you there. There was a Napier a couple of years ago at the VSCC meet with a 27 litre engine. Amazing noise as it went up the hill.

The ERA's are also entered in the 500 owners club meeting on the Saturday. My copy of the 500 owners entry list has 11 listed on Saturday. Nick F. try to keep off the grass this year!!
I was two for two at Wiscombe last year - fell-off under braking for the Gate at the Five Clubs in May and then hit the Marshals' post at Martini at the MG meeting in September.
Took a second-and-a-half or so off my PB in the process, mind you...

I was going to go today but the threat of bad weather put me off . I did go yesterday, though, and I'm so glad that I did. The sight, sound and smell of 11 ERAs was just fantastic. In fact, I was so concentrated on them that I almost forgot about some of the other wonderful cars present, which inluded a Bugatti T35 and an original AC Cobra 289.

Unbelievably heavy rain this morning meant the course was awash and the morning session was cut short. After lunch the rain stopped, the sun came out and the track dried considerably for some decent hillclimbing.
Fourteen ERA's in front of the house was a sight to behold, then they all started up for the traditional 'warm-up' revving session. The noise! The smell!
Glad we ventured out, it turned out to be a cracking day.

Yes it was wet today! We arrived as the First timed runs were starting, the sun came out and the track started to dry (well less wet!) then just as the last batch finished the rain started again. If I knew how to upload pics i would post some. Nice Pics Joel, but cant see my Yellow one like yours that was parked in the paddock!

Thanks Dave. There is one of your Yellow one in there, it's just buried in the middle of 500 ERA shots! www.thegreenhell.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=6758&cat=624
