Oh yes, only two weeks after Le Mans the opportunity is there to dust the tents off yet again, we have twenty, yes TWENTY TVRs coming down from the W. Midlands to spend a weekend in Cornwall with us.

The plan is to meet them on the Friday afternoon at Exeter then travel in convoy down to Crantock for a weekend of beer, blats and.....

Here's Steve's (the local club organiser's) breakdown, it would be good to take them out and show them a clean pair of heels!

If you fancy it email me via my profile.

Steve's blah....

The idea is that we do some proper touring run using the cars as they
are intended for - roof off (for those that can!) enjoy some
beautiful scenery, good weather, and good company!

The plan is to leave early 06:30 off Corley Services Friday travel
down to Quarryfields campsite Crantock , Newquay where we camp Friday
and Saturday night. Yes camping! £7.50 per head per night, leaving
the rest of the budget for fuel, beer, food and suntan lotion!!

One of the "musts" is a photo shoot at the Bowgie Inn West Pentire,
this pub overlooks Crantock Bay has ample seating large TVR Friendly
Car park, has a sheltered (and heated) raised decking area providing
excellent views of the bay, and surf+ serves food, particularly
recommend the locally caught …garlic bread :-).

There are no speed ramps on the road accessing the campsite, so no
exhaust clearance issues. There is a new shower / washroom facility
has been built for 2007, there are two pubs on site and a chippy!
Plus two pubs in Crantock village that serve food and welcome
families all within 10 minutes walk from this quite campsite, plus an
open air swimming pool.

AND the two best beaches in the U.K. (IMHO) within 10 /25 minutes
walk respectively, and great surf as this is the next bay southward
of Fistral beech, although beware of the rip tides!

It is fantastic, had a few of our lot round a few nights back showed
them it on Google Earth they are all coming as a result. Plus the are
bringing thier partners and kids too...it will a good mix too, chance
to make new friends bla bla bla

Saturday free to do the beech / surf or go on a run TBA on some
decent road with fantastic views, I know this area well so this
should be brilliant, never been down there in my Chimaera before but
know that it will be just right.

On Sunday we head back via the West Coast route offering a decent run
prior to joining the M5 for the rum back to WWM.

Space is limited to 20 cars, I want to book pitches before the end of
February, so come and have some fun, just need hard cash i.e. £15:00
to sort it!

20 Trevors coming from the West Midlands to Crantock that's around 250 miles, so I would guess maybe 2 won't start 4 will be some place on the M5 and a couple will get lost at Exter services. Should still be room in the carpark for my super reliable little Blue FIAT then. Just Kidding!!!

For a TVR reliability issue joke

I'm more worried about the weather!

It must have been you lot helping on my hangover as I sat on the quay in Padstow this morning... The noise nearly made me loose control of my gut...
Don't think there was twenty though, but a good show none the less.

Brilliant weekend and yes we did bring Padstow to a standstill this morning, probably about 15 cars at that stage.
