Tour of Cornwall Rally
Discussion
It's the Tour of Cornwall Rally this weekend. Is anyone here going along to watch any of the stages, or even compete? There should be a good mix of WRC-type cars, along with the odd 6R4 and Darrian. I'll be around on Friday evening and all day Saturday spectating and photographing.

Well I probably won't wave as it will make my photos come out all blurred (even more so than usual!). Still, I hope you have better luck than last year, Carl. This is a picture of you from opening night '06 at Boconnoc

I'll try to get some better shots this year.

I did the flying finish on Preddanack for the last 2 years in the sunshine, gutted i'm not there this weekend, the socials are good there as well, some stupid amount of money was passed behind the bar last year we were told, managed got so drunk last year on the Saturday night I spent most of it calling for Huey down the big white telephone!
This is the first year i've missed in the last 7 I think, used to go down servicing for the old man as well.

Sorry for posting the last 2 bits.
1) We drove the stage at a sensible speed after setting it up to check the layout was ok, with my passenger reading off a stage diagram and stopping often to change bits/move cones. I did get asked to keep it steady after going around a fast right hander touching the brakes and popping the rear inside wheel off the ground (not difficult in a french car with standard soft suspension) by one of the senior stage officials who was behind me driving at the same speed.
2) The cone setting up game was somewhat exagerated by myself, we did pass them out of the back of the van as it was moving to the guys walking along behind it who positioned them in the correct place on the stage, we weren't as I wrote travelling at 30 mph more likely 5mph. (although at 9am even that feels fast)
Apologies for any trouble this has caused.
The description I gave wasn't very good or accurate.
