Has anyone else noticed the number of these things around Cheltenham? I followed a new saloon one into Cheltenham on Saturday. Just on friday I was following an old shape estate. I have seen many old shape estate ones about the place too. Blade cars have a new estate one at their showroom by the A40. There are also numerous RS6s around.

I thought these cars were supposed to be rare!

It's because they're the ideal car to have round here. Enough 4x4 ability to get round 98% of the countryside, enough space to carry half teh town around, and damn quick. I'm amazed more people don't drive stuff like it.

I've noticed there seem to be a lot of new RS4 cabriolets around Cheltenham - personally I'd like the Avant, but maybe in a couple of years when the prices are more realistic!

Did you notice Performance Cars (opposite TGI Friday's) had an RS4 Avant - noticed it's already sold so they are obviously in demand at the moment...

Yep. They seem to have had an influx of Audis a few weeks ago. Everything there's an Audi. Crap really as they used to have some intersting stuff!

Think they realised what a limited market there is for performance cars, especially with Broughtons within a 5 minute drive. Now they just seem to offload the high spec stuff and tradeins from Parklnds in Gloucster. I've noticed their Specialist Cars place in Tewkesbury has become distinctly less specialist lately too.

Not sure how they manage to sell any cars given my experience. Went in to see how much they'd give me for my Boxster, cash price, last year when my daughter arrived! They offered £17k and gave all the blarb about "we'll probably get less than £20k for it" absolute bullcr@p! Within 2 weeks I'd sold it privately for £22k and they had an identical Boxster for sale on their forecort for £25k - felt like going in and offering £19,995 to see what he'd have to say!

Everyone needs to make a profit but talking rubbish isn't a pre-requisite!

Well it's a shame, it was really neat and novel to have a place stocking 996 turbos, even 993 turbos, many Elises, RS4s and that sort of thing - Proper enthusiasty stuff. Especially when you live so close by it.

Followed a new RS4 yesterday, saw an RS6 on Thursday, and today went to B&Q to get a socket set to help remove the wiper motor from my 190E to lubricate it, and there's not one but TWO RS6s in the B&Q car park. They're like mondeos!

You are getting an obsession

Yep....see a lot in the Cheltenham area.
Cotswold's & Bath seem to have their fair share, as well.
Traditionally, Audi's have always been popular on those area roads.
Much for the reason stated by a previous poster.
