I used to live 10 mins away from Snetterton, then moved to Cambridge and am now in Swindon.
I can tell you that it's just under an hour (45 mins fairly easily - especially more dual carriageway than there was) from M11 J9 to Snetterton, and from Swindon to M11 J9 is 2 hrs on a clear run (Sunday nights at 9pm e.g.) or 3 - 3.5 on a bad one (Friday night peek rush hour + road works etc).
Have to say I'm fairly tempted to make the trek back that way myself for Pistonfest.

I daren't ask your speed. Best I managed was Swindon to Gt Chesterford (essentially J9 of M11) in 1 hr and 45. Oh hang on, add Thetford to that distance and it probably would be 2hrs and a half or so. eep

it was approx 190miles door to door,and 95% of the distance was motorway and dual carridgeway so only needed to be sat at approx 80mph all the way,and as there was little traffic hence a time of 2hrs 35mins
