Anyone out there got any recommendations for an independent to look after an E46 M3 in the Gloucestershire and surrounding area?

Very dood outfit. Used them on my seven series for years and now use them on the M5 for non service book stuff.

I use Gloucester BMW Specialists for my M5.

On Eastern Avenue (Behind Screwfix) 01452 300 150. They use only OEM parts and will give you a run-about (Corsa) if you let them know in advanced you need a car, or you can sit and wait if it's an oil service etc.

They've done two oil services, 1 Insp 1 and 1 Insp 2 for me plus a clutch replacement. Never had cause to worry or complain about their knowledge or work. (I've found them to be more knowledgeable than Cotswolds with the M.

Can reccommend neil (ngr), he's been spot on with all my 3 series stuff. Used Steve Rowley in cheltenham for all the boring stuff which has been done very well too.

Thanks agent006 - I'm based in Cheltenham, tell me where I can find out more about Steve Rowley and when you say 'boring stuff' what would you class under this?

Boring stuff being servicing. Non boring stuff being fitting of bucket seat and harness and stuff which requires imagination, which I got Neil to do. If you can get to Kemble and back OK then i'd use Neil in preference.

Steve is at www.bmw-saab.co.uk
Neil at www.neilgarner.co.uk/Road_car/

I can second this outfit....I even used to travel from Bristol to get my car serviced by them. They are very good indeed. yes
