Don't laugh but I have a purlescent silver or grey Escort estate with a mismatched colour on the bonnet. I want it sprayed the same as the rest of the car - anyone know a reasonably priced place around Bristol.

Secondly, are those old style silver-on-black number plates illegal? Someone mentioned they were earlier but I don't recall seeing anything about this...

Thanks in advance

I can recommend Peels Motorkraft in Crews Hole Road Bristol. I have used them several times and they do an excellent job. Probably not the cheapest place you will find, but if you want a perfect match, with a non standard paint, then you have to pay for expertise!

I was under the impression that the silver on black number plates were only legal on a certain age car. Best check with somebody in the know though.

I've found D M K Motor Body Repair Specialists. Lockleaze Rd Bristol, BS7 9RU. 0117-969 5835 to be pretty good.

Cheers guys.

Shame about the numberplate though as silver / black would have looked good. The car is 23 years too new though...rolleyes
