Anyone recommend a nice pub in Marlborough for a relaxing, tasty Sunday lunch?

Cheers.

cant remember its name - but if you head out on the A4 towards Bath, there is one on the right hand side about 5 minutes out of Marlborough thats pretty nice..

The best Sunday lunch around that area is in a little village between Hungerford and Marlborough, on the left side of the A4 as you come in to the 50 limit.

Food is fabulous there.

I've not eaten there, but the Green Dragon on the High Street does basic food and serves good 6X The Sun, at the far end of the High Street, also does food which again I haven't eaten but have heard good things about.

It's not a pub, sort of bistro but we've had some great meals in Coles, which is up the hill on the east end of the high st.

Last time I was in Marlborough was on a Saturday with the market on - sat in the square eating Kangaroo burgers in the sunshine and watching the cars (always see something intereseting in Marlborough) go by. Perfick.

This is probably the Pelican in Froxfield, formerly owned by Johnnie Morris (from the TV) before he passed on. I sat there with some friends a good few years ago and we wondered out loud whether he was still in the land of the living, next thing he and Terry Nutkins appeared from around the bar to point out very nicely that he was. Not now though sadly.
When I lived that way it was very popular but I haven't been recently.
You could also try the Blue Boar in Aldbourne just northeast of Marlborough, again was good but its been awhile.

Thanks everyone, great suggestions. Anyone been to the Bell in Ramsbury?

Not for a long time, but I hear it's good. The Red Lion at Axford is also good, but a bit pricey - more of a restaurant really.
