Hey guys, I've been lurking around the pistonheads forums for a while now and stumbled across this forum not long ago.
I was just wondering how many of you guys are from Barnstaple (or somewhere nearby)?
Also do you all drive nice cars like TVRs and the like thus making my poor little VW Passat look like a pedal car?

Was down in Croyde on Saturday - beach, lunch at The Manor, blast up to Lynton & Lynmouth, Exmoor and across to Tiverton before rolling home to Brizzle

Recently sold tweaked Passat, now in Mazda 6. So, no sports car just yet...

Not long after i left the Army I was a store detective for a few months & I worked in the Superdrug in Barnstable a few times. On one occasion I watched this druggie stuffing some razor blades down his top & as I followed him outside to nick him he legged it! I chased him about 50 metres around the town before finally jumping him & we had a good 5 min scrap on the floor! punch There were razor blades flying everywhere out his jacket, about 20 people just standing around watching when eventually an off duty copper come over & broke it up.

That was a good day in Barnstaple, nice punch up, got a waster arrested & got paid for it! (crap pay mind you )

Alex, What's the best night to go 'sight seeing' in the Plym Students union?
(I've recently blagged a student card).

Sorry about the delay on that one, I meant brave man because of the roads.

I do not have a problem with any roads in North Devon, the thrill of a lamborghini roadster with the roof down in the country is phenomenal

Glad to hear it, I've had a few hairy moments on the Devon roads in the past but then you're probably a much better driver than I am.
Bet it makes it easier to get past the 40mph brigade too.

being purely practical, ALC, only becuase I had though about getting a Gallardo, but what do you do for servicing? is the only option to stick it on a trailer and up to Manchester or London?
