M5 Exeter - Specs cameras?

Been into the office in Exeter for the first time in about three weeks this week and there are several sets of cameras around the roadworks between junctions 29 and 30. Look very much like SPECS cameras to me, and they don;t look like they'll be temporary either!

Yep they are Spec scamera's alright. Trouble is a lot of drivers passed me in the Griff well over the 50mph limit last Saturday so they will receive a rather nasty letter in the New Year

cheers for the heads up. good to know seeing as that is near the end of my journey and i might not have noticed otherwise until it was too late.

Last Sunday when passing them north bound I noticed that the speed limit changes from 50 to national well before the final set of cameras so not sure if they are in service yet.

The cameras northbound in the roadworks had been covered with black plastic bags this morning....so either they're not working yet...or good work someone

They weren't covered today. And yes noticed the sneaky set after the derestriction!
Do they have any southbound?

I was told they were due to come into force on 3rd Jan.

Signs were up today warning of average speed cameras. Don't remember seeing them on Wednesday. Some twonk in a grubby silver Lexus went barrelling thru the 50 zone at around 70 this morning, letter for him soon methinks.

Local radio was talking about them the other day. Apparently they are only there for the duration of the major road works. I wouldn't be so sure though, they look fairly permanent to me.

They are permanent, they are now live, they even have their own dedicated tracking cctv cameras near by, which shocked me as it only took the two days to install, wernt the monday, operational on thursday. Live near M5 Bridge close to junction, can see the camera's from the house.

Right ok this is my first post on this forum and i am sorry for reactivating an old thread.

Just north of junction 31 on the M5 on the northbound carriage way there is this camera.

Is that an average speed camera and is there average speed cameras from junction 31 to 30 on the north bound side?

Please help.
